If you got no air at each brake and pedal still goes to floor slowly with all bleeders closed the Master cyl is bad OR has air trapped in it would not surprise me to get a bad one from any auto supply.
On a Side note:
If you didn't bench bleed the Master cylinder their is a good possibility you got some air trapped in it, And it wont all come out no matter how much you bleed the brakes, as the Brake peddle push rod never fully pushes the Master cyl. piston its full length, Its for this reason you HAVE to Bench bleed master cylinders.
"Bench Bleeding" this is a Process of having Master cyl in a Vice
(or have another person hold it) use special plastic screw in bleeder plugs that you put hoses on and tie them back to the master cylinder reservoir then push the piston in repeatedly till all air is removed by watching bubbles come out of hoses into reservoir.

I just bought two New Bleeder kits SAE and Metric from NAPA for a few dollars each recently as my old ones vanished into the Abyss I call a shop.

I did bench bleed it before installing but it could still have some air trapped. Brakes still fully lock up so that's good, no more leaks. Pedal might need adjustment, everything is new. I have a rod builder friend coming over one of these days to see what he thinks. I'm a lot better at body and paint. Always run into snaps on the mechanical side of the process.
The carb on my 28 blew up so I took the manual choke Eddy off the Stang since the 28 already was set up for manual choke. Bought an electric choke Eddy for the Stang. Still need to get that dialed in. Windshield guy is coming today so looking forward to getting that done. Rob

Any updates?
How is the Roof going? did you get all the parts blasted and painted yet? Dennis B.

Well it's been a struggle. I put the vert top frame on, adjusted it and blead the motor. It's all good except when it goes down, one side doesn't fold up all the way. Cannot figure that out, no adjustments on it, just pivot points.
Blead the brakes, blead the master, no air, no leaks but still a soft pedal that goes right to the floor. Did notice something weird, the pedal travels well over an inch before it does anything. If I could adjust a good inch out of it I might be ok but I don't think it's adjustable? Also a bunch of electrical issues. Parking lights work but no brake, turnsignal or headlights. I need to check all my grounds. Also fuel sender has no power. Dash lights work, wipers work. Oh and horns don't work. What a pain. Just got a call that my custom wheels are in so that's cool. I'll pick them up tomorrow. Rob

Wow lots of problems
Yes i wold start with double check all the grounds first. more than likely causing all the problems. If roof is properly adjusted and Lubed when assembled???? I would think maybe having material on it might help pull it all down together? As far as Breaks go That was a new Master cylinder and New Brake Booster???? was is it not ? Does it have a Break booster? I have run into situations where rod inside brake booster was too short for the Master cylinder. also seen were the rod was adjustable in length?? and was adjusted to short/long. Having one inch in travel at first hit isnt right in my book, power breaks or manual. And should never travel to floor slowly with pressure sounds like a bad master cylinder? Dennis B.

The roof is somehow binding, I even sat on it and it only came down about an inch and then popped back up. Very odd.
As I recall the pushrod screwed on so there should be some adjustment. I'm busy doing some insulation and putting up shelving in the garage. I need to get organized, it's a bit of a nightmare in there, can't find anything. Seems strange that my parking lights work but not the turn signals. Should be the same ground so that might be something else? Rob

I guess it could be, just because something is new doesn't guarantee anything these days

I am not surprised really cheap China made junk is every where these days its almost impossible to buy anything not made their. Its sad really.
Even the Aircraft industry has a major problem with Fake parts now days its a real problem and nobody talks about it But they the FAA sure as hell hold us Aircraft mechanics responsible for the parts we put on. I have came across many illegal parts ,Starters, Generators, and other stuff. scary when it makes it on a Jet. Dennis B.

That is a scary thought. It's bad enough that everything is made in China, worse that almost all of it is crappy quality.
