That sounds like a lot of work.
I still haven't received my wiring harness but the gas tank and gauges are in, unfortunately one of the gauges is broken. It was packed by an idiot

I got it through my stang parts supply guy so another one is being sent. Not a big deal as I don't need it right away. Just really poorly packaged, almost inevitable that this would happen.

I got lucky and found a guy who strips out and sells Firebird parts.
Hes making me a Package deal and he wants my set of quarter panels I have.
Pretty much gives me all the parts I need to put AC in the car and the wire harnesses plus all the factory gauges and a rear sway bar set up all I needs is a Posi unit now and a 4 speed!
he Probably has a Posi unit but I will wait till I get closer to needing it.

Heads for the engine are done but I need to Port them, I have a New set of pistons and a Good crank fresh set of rods. Need a cam lifters Gaskets rings and bearings. Oh then A Quadra jet carb, I have a couple laying on the shelf but not sure if they are 750 or 850 cfm need an 850 to make good power.
Pontiacs will make really respectable power with Carefull head porting and a Good cam selection dual exhaust.

Sounds great on getting a whole lot of parts from one guy for a decent deal
Can't remember what you have for motor. Is it the 326 or 400 that came with it or were you stuffing a 455 in there, something about that rings a bell. It is a 67/68 isn't it? My memory hasn't woken up yet.

I am still debating whether to put one of of my 455s in it or a 400.
If i can find a 4 speed I can afford I will do a 455 and a 12 Bolt rear but I seriously doubt its gonna happen, leaning towards a well built 400 and Turbo 350 trans.

Now If I could get my hands on a wrecked Late model Camero........ Resto Mod :goodjob:

Yeah the drivetrain out of a late model Camaro would be awesome!
Sounds like you're making good progress on the body, won't be long and you'll be painting.
Sitting around drinking beer isn't the worst thing you can do, keeps you from burning out :goodjob:
I still haven't got my wiring harness, ordered it 4 weeks ago

That is crazy hot, I don't know how you can handle that. I can't even function in 90 degree temps. It's been spring like here, rain off the on and low 70's or less.
