Might be time to put the VW down, it's becoming a money pit by the sounds of it. Too bad you didn't get the full plate, I hate guys like that.
I got some more parts, only waiting on the ebrake assembly and some interior pieces/upholstery

Ya I have to agree Might be time? BUT I am stubborn.... I hate trowing the money away on the head rebuild and new cam. If I do do the injectors it definitely has another 200k in it.
BUT I am sick of the money pit! another Vett or a BMW M6 sounds like a Lot more fun!
I just drive so dam much I would rather enjoy my drive than work on it every week.

You have to be getting excited about the Stang its SOOOOO dam close!

Well I don't know if it's that close, but it is closer. Still a hundred things to do. On the upside I have almost everything I need to finish.
Trunk doesn't close right with the new weatherstrip. It will eventually. Hopefully the doors don't have the same issue.

I have a Jiffy Steamer for interior work, When I have problems like that I just heat every thing up with that, Works great especially on Carpets and Upholstery.

I fixed two Broke Tabs on that new used fender for the Vett then installed it yesterday.
Still waiting for the Paint, Was nice to drive it again I really like that car.
It lights the tires up so easily! I really need to get it on a Dyno.

I have the weight of the trunk lid sitting on it so that should help. That steamer looks like it would be handy. Best I could do is use a heat gun on it. I haven't put the torsion bar trunk popper in yet just to keep the weight on it. I'm sure it will wear in over a bit of time, sits about 1/4" high.
I'm sure the Vette would be fun, I'd like to have something fast!

Sorry to yell but that's a no no it will over heat and burn that stuff very easily.
The Steam puts a lot of heat in to it with out burning.
You might be able to get it hot enough with the steam from a Steam Iron IF you can sneak it out of the House with out the wife seeing?

Been working on installing a New Bath tub in the rental what a Pain, screwed up my Back but thankfully Skip is giving me a Hand with it. He fully retired from the Trucking deal and is back home now.

I put a tub with shower surround in the last house, it was brutal. Unless you have a huge bathroom there's barely any room to maneuver it.
Well I figured out how to install the power top hydraulic cylinders. It's been so long since I took everything apart it's a constant challenge figuring out how it all goes back. Next build will be faster I swear :knockout:

Ya Memory not to good here either, I am gonna Be looking at the other cars I have and that assembly manual a lot when I finally am able to get back on it.

Its been so long I am gonna need an assembly manual for that Plymouth as well.
I want both put back together and sold.
I have to take a Trip to Vegas today to exchange the new bath room Faucet I bought for that bath room got it all back together last week and the faucet leaked and wouldn't shut off the Hot water! so back it goes. I also had problems with the Toilet the floor mount turned out to be cracked and the hold down bolt kept pulling out figured that one out after the third Wax ring! I was a Bit perturbed by that point.
But I did get it all back together Just have to get that new faucet and do the 1/4 round trim today and seal every thing with some white silicone then that will be done. Then I can move onto cutting cement away from house and re-level the dam thing.
( I hate Modular/mobile homes) :realmad: Even after that I have a whole bunch of other stuff to do to it repair concrete I tear up, Paint it, Put a new roof on it and install a new heat and AC unit in it. Then I think I am gonna sell it along with my shop as the shop goes with that unit. I am just sick of the rental deal too much hassle.
Then maybe build a new shop behind my house? Thats the plan any way.

Having a rental is usually a ton of work unless you get a great tenant that doesn't mind and has the ability to fix problems.
Selling sounds good, building a new shop sounds like a headache so tough decision.

I've been working on the brake system, got the new dual master and booster in but not even close to enough room to mount the distribution block. Supposed to be built to fit my car, what a pile of baloney. My best guess at the moment is to mount it to the frame? Gave up for the day, I'll crawl under the car tomorrow and see what options are there.

you might wanna use some 1300L glue and some Catapillar around those wires coming through the fire wall. https://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail/Pa ... D%3D&mgh=1

I use a lot of it on Aircraft and on cars. Its a lot better than a rubber Grommet that can cut and fail. made from Nylon tuff stuff
