I think the one I have is an 8K I have too look at it? I Bought it 20+ years ago.
I Haven't used it since I was working on the fence a few years ago, I should dig it out change the oil and fuel in it and run it for a while. Probably have to rebuild the carburetor at this point as I don't recall putting any stabilizer in the fuel. Unless I let it run dry? I cant remember.

The paint booth is about done, as is the shop, took longer than expected but everything does in my world

The first and last pics are sideways for some reason even though they're rotated to vertical on my end

Intake filters, one on each side of the booth

It's a lot brighter in there than it looks in the pics, over 100,000 lumens

Thanks Dennis. I hope to be using soon, uncovered the Stang so I'm ready to get at it. Still need to move some stuff out of the shop over to the garage but it's a pain with all the snow, about a foot of it now and still going :splat: I have what I hope is a perfect fender, won't know until I get it stripped. I don't think I have too much bodywork to do on the rest of the car, as I recall.

I see my pics got rotated somehow, must have been Chris :goodjob:

That's a really big Fan you got on there.
Did you build a Fan box behind the filters ?

I hope its not a wind tunnel in there

It's a 24"fan, I'm not expecting a wind problem but I can always unbolt it at the back and baffle it, or even slide something under the bottom. We'll see

Rob have you checked it out I know you have ?

Work has changed my schedule from now till the end of July they say.
Plus I have to do a few some business trips in between now and then I am not going to have much of a summer this year for working on the projects.

Too bad about the schedule change, hopefully you'll at least get a bit of time here and there to pick away at the projects.

Yes I've been using the booth, love it! It makes life so much easier, I have my breathing air supply on a switch by the door by the light and fan switches so it takes no time to get painting. It used to be such a big production before to spray anything, I'm spoiled now!

Not too much actual painting. I had the hood and newer fender blasted so I've sprayed epoxy prier, slicksand, bedliner on the inside of the fender and some actual paint on the inside part of the fender that you can see when the door is open.

I used to have to clean the shop for a week, hook up all my hoses, find a spot outside for my air box, set up a fan, prop open the door, etc. to prime or paint anything. Now it's flick a few switches and I'm good to go, a thing of beauty it is! And no overspray in the air, I used to be in a cloud before.
