There's no carpet in yet, the carpet will actually make it worse. It will lift it even higher over the outer rocker. I just wanted to see how it fit over the wiring harness and was surprised to see how badly it fit. I hope when you screw it down it somehow fits. Just seems really weird

That dont sound good, I saw the grey in the back ground of the pic and thought you had the carpet back in it.

Do you have that insulation in their?
If its not sitting right with just wires under it its not gonna fit with carpet under it!
Not good Do you have the original ones? compare the two side by side.

There isn't anything but bare floors. I have the old ones but I don't know if they are original. They lay in there perfectly and look identical except the ends where they bend up more which would obviously lower the center section where it's high. The ends on the old ones are pretty ugly though, kind of mangled into shape.
The wires go in a channel so no problem with the scuff plates covering them. I was checking that when I saw how badly they seemed to fit.
I talked to my supplier and he said he's sold lots of them and nobody complained.
Not going to worry about it for now, got lots to do before I need to install them.

Well it took forever but finally got everything needed to get the gauges in. Still waiting on the heater motor, then I will be able to finish the dash.
It's a total pain working under the dash, not a lot of room especially where the gauges and bulk of the wiring harness sits, plus the considerably larger fuse block.
Wish it was the Mopar style dash that you can remove, assemble and install

Yes having a dash that comes out is much easier to deal with.

Well the back is pretty much done. Need to run gas and brake lines next. Working my way forward. I got the heater motor so I'm ready to put the heater in so not too much more to finish the dash.

Thanks. The trunk lid is sitting a bit high due to the new weatherstrip. Once that wears in a bit I can adjust it down.
Got the heater in yesterday, what a pain that was.
Ordered an exhaust system but that will take a while.
It is starting to come together :goodjob:

When you gonna put the doors on it?
What are your plans for the roof? are you going to install it or hire it out?
