I go the new shelf all up now, started putting stuff up their more of a Pain than I thought it would be being 7 feet off the floor seams strong enough though. Still cleaning and reorganizing also proving to be a Bigger pain than what I thought it would be.

I'm trying to do the same thing. It is a lot of work moving stuff all over. I have to figure out some outside storage for body panels, they're taking up too much space in the shop. If I can get it all outside I can put up more shelving.
Unfortunately I got the call to have Mom moved into long term care. Going to be busy getting her old place cleaned out. Wouldn't be so bad if we lived in the same city. Rob

I am going to start storing body panels outside as well at least till I get to work on them and only keep those inside.
The best part of whole project is its forcing me to go through stuff. Throwing a lot away already made two trips to the Dump! More to go! Dennis B.

The Stang came out Awesome! Man that looks good. I am also glad to hear about your Borgeson box as I have one on the shelf waiting for me to tear into my 69 Vette that handles like....well....a really old car. Again, Great Job on that Mustang!!! OFB I am surprised you would complain about the handling of an Old C3 I loved all of mine especially my 74 Big block. I hated selling that one!
I would tune up the original stuff with all new components Nothing fancy just good ol original type stuff and leave it be. just remember its not a race car. I have had many C3's and C4s I love my C5 though Fantastic handling car as is. Better than my 308 in my opinion but Not as good as my M6. The C5 is very Technical and very aggressive, My all time favorite is an Old Pontiac F body. Very forgiving Now that car will respond to suspension mods! a Corvette is just too expensive to take to the next level and an Old Firebird will Bankrupt ya IF you go with all of Detroit speeds bag of tricks. I built the car some years back to run the local NorCal road tracks. Front and rear VBP suspension, a little ~400 hp small block running an old C950 EFI with some Jerry Stahl built side pipe headers and a 5-spd. About the same time, I had bought a Caddy CTS-V (1st gen). That car I fell in love with, added better brake pads, some simple coil overs and a cat-back system and ran that Caddy for three years on our Nor Cal tracks. That has been my favorite car ever. The 69 looks beautiful and turns heads while cruising, but is a handful on the track and I can run better lap times in my old stock 2008 G35S. The Caddy turned into a pumpkin and is long gone (lease was up!) and the Vette just wouldn't bring enough money like a Camaro of the same year would, so I doubt that I'll ever get rid of it. Hopefully the new steering setup will help. I haven't installed it yet or the new EFI ECU that I have for it as my LS3/65 Caddy has been giving me nothing but troubles and I don't want both cars down at the same time. A built track ready 77 TA with a EFI tunnel ram sticking out the hood is one of my dream cars. BTW, check our my Caddy's license plate... Sent by the random thoughts from the voices in my head...

Thanks for the compliments on the Stang OFB, I appreciate it. I need to post a few more pics of it.
You should love the new steering box although I think a stock 65 mustang steering is quite a bit worse than a 69 Vette so it may be a little less night and day than mine was. It's definitely very responsive. Dennis, you have a 308 as well? I always liked the look of those. Rob

What I learned real quick was road course drivers are kinda like golfers, you can NOT tell how good they are just by looking at them or their gear. It was at that track in that photo (Laguna Seca in CA) that I thought I was doing pretty good. I was passing the guy in the red GT3 in the corners though he had a far better handling car. On the straightaway, where it became a pedal down drag race he would pass me as I was just out motored, but I would catch up and pass him in the corners prior to the corkscrew each time. I was feeling pretty cocky, until later in the day and I was pushing hard and fast (I thought) through the #2 Hairpin when on my inside came a fricking little primered Miata with two primered Rockstar style stars on the hood just flying past me. Like I was parked! Turns out the guy used to drive F1, knew how to wheel and that little 105 hp car just dusted me!! Very humbling. BTW, I was wondering the same thing about the 308 comment in your previous post. Boy did those shoot up in value. Sent by the random thoughts from the voices in my head...
