Also, what paint system did you use. Where did you get it? What did it cost? What all work did you do to the car? What gun did you use? How many cars have you painted before? How big is your compressor? Yep. that should cover it.

Thanks Guys, I used PPG products except for the clear coat, I used ********** Universal Clear. I started with DP epoxy primer over bare fiberglass, used 3M short strand fiberglass for bodywork filler, then primed with K36, block sanded using a guided coat, primed with K36 again, guide coated and wet sanded with 600. Then shot the PPG DBU (three coats) with my TECHLINE using a 1.3 tip, following the product sheet for tape time. Used 3M fine line tape for the two tone, allowed for the correct flash time, then shot the ********** clear coat (three coats) with my DeVilbiss 670 PLUS with a 1.4 tip. Allowed the car to sit overnight then wet sanded the clear with 1500, then buffed using PRESTA products.

Nice work! I bet the overspray was killer with the Plus gun.
And how many hours did the entire project take?? A man can do all things if he but wills them.

Han, you are correct there was much more overspray with the plus then with my Techline. Between stripping, repairing body damage, fitting the front and rear bumpers, and the final product close to 180 hours.

Nice job! For the level of quality you got 180 hours is darn good. Seems like Corvettes around here spend a lot of time in "painter's jail."
