I am going to sand out scratches and wear in a 2008 Corvette fiberglass roof and am planning to coat with clear PPG. The center section is clear. The rest of the car is black. I was wondering if I can tint the clear with black to make the clear center part of the roof tinted so that the sun is filtered when it comes in, similar to a pair of sunglasses? Anyone ever tried this?

Is it the "clear" option plastic top?...... If it is GM had told me on my 2006 Vette that this particular top was...... "an integrated, silicone-based hardcoat (modified polyaminosiloxane, with UV absorbers)" bonded to the clear plastic.....
