In the last few plastic panels i sprayed i got issues with scratches showing from under the base coat which makes me want to respray them, other than the scratches the panles looks good.
To do this i plan to sand the clear flat with p800 and put 1-2 coats of base and new clear.
Is this a good way to do it or should i use something finer like p1000?
If i sand trough the clear to base? Will i have to reprimer or will basr cover in most scenarios?
Better to ask before i succeed in giving me more extra work.
Respray newly sprayed panels?

It depends on how thick the paint is that's currently on the panels.
Ideally you'd strip back to bare plastic but if you've only painted them once then sanding with P800 then base and clear is perfectly ok. Rub throughs will need to be primed. If not you run the risk of edge mapping. Chris

Thank you. I will give the p800 a go and see how it turns out. They have been painted before but prior to this time i sanded it down to the oem finish.
