Hello, I have an old deck spoiler that has a broken mounting bolt. Looking for advice on setting a new one. Can I grind out the old and just epoxy a new one in the hole left behind? Thanks, 1

Yep, that's the way I like to do it. I've repaired a half dozen or so wings and spoilers that way over the years. I usually use West System epoxy which is quite strong. Any epoxy that is a 4 to 1 or 5 to 1 resin to hardener ratio mix is going to be good for this. In most cases they are stronger than the 1 to 1 ratio mix products. I also use a fiber fill type thickener or cut up some mat to add to the mix. Just make sure you grind out enough area and leave it very rough inside for more surface profile.

Great. Thanks for the info and confirmation. I'll be sure to do a little torque test before I bother drilling holes in my trunk lid. Thanks, 1
