I didn't end up using it. The two coats of epoxy primer pretty much filled the crack and the front so all I needed was a skim coat of filler.

After two of us manhandling the hood back in place, I checked to see if I could find the crack and couldn't.

The other new parts haven't arrived yet so everything will be on hold for at least a week while I am traveling.

My bible school is having a first ever alumni meeting in Arkansas so hauling the 5th wheel for its longest journey yet.

That's good you didn't have to lay up a lot of stuff. If you ever watch truckers open those noses they kind of "sproing" as they are throwing them open. Less filler= less chance of failure.

It's on the truck now and the temps are mid to high 70 during the day and low 30s at night. I will keep an eye on it.

New grill, bumper and headlights installed. Left the chrome bumper protection on because I am still working on the cab, doors and fenders.

I have to keep reminding myself that it is a work truck not a show truck. LOL

Already find myself out there denibbing the clear and fussing over spots that will be covered by oil tanks, hydraulic hoses and exhaust system.

Color and one coat of clear on the cab.

Yeah, when I was working on my grandson's beater Jeep over the years I had a real hard time just walking away from it..... Ha, ha he paid $1000 for it, drove it for 6 years and I still got a $1000 out of it when I sold it.
