1. I have sanded with 320, I block sanded to remove the depth of the original pinstripes.

2. I’m told to sand again with 400.

After the final sanding:

3. Clean with degreaser/dewaxer from any auto parts store.

4. Wipe one direction with tack cloth from auto parts store.

5. ??? The bags had some deep scratches that required sanding thru the paint and original primer, down to the molded plastic material… is there any additional “spot” prep needed prior to primer? (See photos) or can I skip this step?

6. Spray with 2-3 coats of primer. The primer options are “high build” or “sealer” the sealer is the high build reduced… ??? Should I shoot 1 coat of sealer followed by the unreduced high build? Or should I shoot sealer (reduced) over the high build? Do I need to sand between the sealer and high build, do I need to sand between high build primer and base coat?

7. All painting /clear coat to be sprayed in succession, following “flash drying” time.
2-3 coats of base coat, if there are no flaws, spray 2- coats of clear.

8. ??? Any sanding required after final clear coat?

Any steps I might be missing?

Thanks for any help I can get!
