I have new plastic PP fender flares,smooth surface.
Ive cleaned really well, sanded , cleaned again sprayed 1k adhesion promoter then 2 coats of reduced high build.(its what I had).
Cured for 2 weeks and Ive sanded with 400 wet through an edge.Just slightly.

Now what do I do? Plan was BC/CC Thanks

Shoot a little more primer with a detail gun or a full size choked down depending on what gear you have.

Wait an hour and then shoot your BC/CC - Wet on wet.

For more than 20 years I did bars, body kits and spoilers, 1-2/day. 90% of the time just used 1K primer on a sanded (P240 - P400) surface. For new bars that were bare plastic I cleaned, scuffed with grey Scotch and used either adhesion promoter or, preferably, the Cromax special plastic primer. In later years, when 2K primer's dry time reduced to an hour, rather than overnight, I used 2K primer instead of the 1K, but it made little difference, except to my bottom line. For new bars that were factory primed I simply followed the instructions, none of which ever recommended the use of adhesion promoter.

Thousands of bars. Never had one come back with a delamination problem.

The only time you need adhesion promoter is bare, unsanded plastic.

I always used quality, name brand (Cromax mainly) products. I had/still have a spray can of 1K primer for spot use on little rub throughs. Do those wet-on-wet as Jay said or, if I had time, give the primer a little time to dry and then a light scuff or sand.

I have also used epoxy where the car is known to be subjected to severe conditions. Agree with JC that it does improve performance, especially when coupled with a little hardener in the base coat.

Ok thanks,my thinking is if I burn through Ive sanded off the ad pro.Your saying if its sanded it will accept primer?
I have some 1k that's the same colour so should work out.
