Anyone have any experience in repainting a Jeep Wrangler (TJ) hard top?
It's a composite material that's not exactly fiberglass. I'm to understand that when it's sanded and prepped for painting the factory texture will be smoothed out. And a new texture can be applied before painting.
So, here's my questions:
The color is known as "Sahara "Khaki", how does one match this color to "spec" it.
Is there a standard texture that reproduces the factory finish? I was shown some samples, but they're not quite the same.
Any insight welcome.
Thanks.

If you are wanting to go with a texture that you can "adjust" and still hit your factory color I would use tintable base Raptor bedliner. The neutral tint base allows you to simply add factory code correct base coat to it. As far as shooting finer textures I would either get a Raptor Varinozzle gun or simply get a cheap siphon or gravity feed gun that has a 2.0 tip with it. This is an example of a 2 liter kit.... https://www.amazon.com/Raptor-Tintable- ... 107&sr=8-9 And this is Custom Coats kind of "knockoff" version of the Raptor gun which does fit the 1 liter bottles... https://www.amazon.com/Custom-Professio ... 103&sr=8-7
