best to practice with whatever paint you will be using

If you are going to be airbrushing on cars, practice by using auto paint, but use a good quality brand of acrylic basecoat. The reason why is this, cheap paint breaks down quickly, it coagulates, turns into little globs that will clog up your airbrush, while a good quality paint will stay mixed and spray finely. Just pick up a pint of black and a pint of white and some good quality reducer, get same brand of reducer as your paint. And get a reducer made for hot weather, it will help the paint to airbrush better. And remember to take your time and be pacient! Crazy Horse Custom Paint
