Yes, it's our very own JoAnn B. Today's episode of 'MuscleCars' featured her
as a guest, showing how to mask and paint flames. Very informative and
entertaining. If you missed the show, it should be re-run soon.

Good work, JoAnn. :goodjob:

You can watch it online on Powerblock's website. Here's the link

And thanks Nighttrain for posting that. I was out of town dealing with family business and did not get a chance to post about the show. We had a great time filming Musclecar. We're hoping to have some time in 2013 to go back and work on another project on Powerblock. RTM Productions has a great crew to work with and everyone there is such a professional. Sure its great to film a tv show, but to be able to hang out with and work with such amazing people, now that was the best part of it for me.

Ok, if you start at when we started to sand the primer through painting the white sealer, to laying out the flames, taping, painting flames, removing tape, masking off flames, painting black, removing tape, spraying clear, sanding, striping, touching up, then spraying finish clear, its hard to pin point it but around 200-250 hours between the team of 5 people, I had there. Lots of detail stuff you did not see on the show. Tons of masking off! The motor and running gear were in the car so all that had to be masked off a number of times. I did all the flame layout and painting myself, but the rest was a total team effort. No way one person could do that in that amount of time.

That's a lot of hours.....and a lot of labour cost !

The clear you used half way thru, that wasn't regular 2K clear was it,more like an intercoat ?
