Hi all. I'm trying to find info on using sg100. I know what it's supposed to be used for however I want to know how long can I wait before it has to be cleared. With it being just a clear base coat.
I am about to lay down some orion silver then a pretty complex tape out session before candy. It may take a few days to lay out this design. Couldn't I just clear coat the whole tank instead of using sg100? I know hok bases are pretty potent and may wrinkle fresh clear but this project is going to take days maybe weeks to tapeout so wouldn't that be enough time for it to cure?. I have some sg150 hanging around and thought about just using that but I'm not sure if you can wet sand to allow for candy.

Much appreciated. I went ahead and bought the sg100. It turned out pretty good so far. Doing all the tape outs now. Thanks for the reply.
