BTW for reference, that is a 12" Klipsch next to the 18" sub that I built.

My camera skills are definitely lacking as it looks a LOT better in person than the photos show.

Thank you guys, that means a lot coming from you experts.

I know its not everyone's cup of tea, but doing stuff for myself and my buddies lets me take my time (i.e. fix my screwups) and just do whatever I want!!

Thanks again for everyone's help!

It is kind of funny how I cant get a good photo (using my phone - duh) of the sunburst side, which is really the best looking part in person - at least by my unbiased opinion

Try Createx candy2o mixed with there new UV gloss clear. You can use the Uv gloss as a carrier also for the flake . Will take alot less work with less time between steps. They offer a Bleed checker clear intercoat to lay down over the candy to prevent bleed.
Talk to Dennis at Createx , he's a good guy will emaill you back and will even go thru steps with you on the phone.
They offer great how to vids on youtube. Look up Createx.

They are the only products I use other than a top coat clear, which I think will soon be Tamco based on recommendations of other members on here.

Good luck to you and Happy Holidays.

I have used the Createx materials when I took a class down at Coast Airbrush Supply down in Anaheim, CA - Awesome place by the way for supplies. The problem is that I now have so many solvent based candy concentrates, it would be $$$ for me to switch over as I'm a weekender hack and just don't get to do as much as I would like to.

Not that my recommendations mean anything but I use Tamco's 2104 HS clears and love it.
