Looking to add a mini gun to the lineup for one specific production run.
Run Sata now, digital RP's..... but just to physically large to get "in" the area.
Have watched Gunmans reviews..he seems to like the ANI 160.....
Any thoughts on this gun? Can always get a Sata 4400..........but there will be a fair
amount of hitting the gun/cup...yea its going to be a miserable spray job. So that's why I'm thinking less pricy gun.
Shooting single stage for this job.
Mini Spray Guns.........any favorites?

If I understand correctly, the issue is not the tip or cap size/type but difficulty getting the gun into the area where you want to spray? Maybe better if you explain more clearly what you want to do.
But, perhaps if the size of the gun and cup is the major issue, you should be looking at a gun that connects to a pressure pot. That way you'll have no cup making combination much smaller. Or a smaller cup? Give us some more information and we'll give you our ideas. Chris

Ok... the units do come apart into pieces, however a full size gun is just to cumbersome.
Touch up gun to slow...lol |

I use a 0.8 minigun and use the same mix as my full size guns.

Electrostatic Powder coat would be easiest way.

Thought I would check in.........
mini-gun seems the way to go. Anyone using the ANI 160?? |
Yep, great gun. So is the Iwata (Air Gunza) AZ4 HTE-S Impact Junior or if you want even smaller, Iwata's LPH-80 Sent by the random thoughts from the voices in my head...

My midi/mini gun drawer (plus a couple of ring-ins).
I've often felt that the ANI 150/160 is a gun that doesn't quite know what it wants to be. Small body, so easy to hold and get into tight spots but almost a big gun spray pattern. Not ideal, but capable of spraying a full panel, if you wanted to. By contrast, the AZ4 has a much bigger body and is noticeably more comfortable and easier to use. But its spray pattern is comparatively narrow, albeit with extremely fine atomisation. The Star S-2, in the top left corner, is a 0.8mm but also comes as 0.5mm, so almost down to air brush size but with a perfect tulip spray pattern about 80mm wide. Kind of like the LPH-80, but with side mount pot, actually more like the LPH-50 but not HVLP. The Star SMV1000F is actually a 1.3mm but more like the ANI 150/160. However the side mount pot means you can rotate it and spray upside down, if you want to. Extremely light and comfortable to hold and use. Like all Star guns, reliable, easy to use and clean and virtually indestructible. My point here is that every job can present a different set of requirements to paint successfully. You need to identify those and choose the right gun, or at least the most suitable gun. Not everyone has quite the choice that I have. Apart from the S-2, if I had to choose just one midi gun it would be a split between the AZ4 and the Star SMV1000F, leaning to the AZ4 for straight work, the Star when dealing with more complex shapes.
