Amazon probably get it in one or two days

Thanks Jay, I hate to admit it but indeed there is a little knob that controls the speed, didn’t realize that. That gave me a little more power, and if I had 36 grit it might be fast enough. But I’ll get the Makita anyway just to really speed it up. I could use the buffer too.
I’ve been running it at between 70 and 90 psi, the compressor puts out 11 CFM at 175 psi continually. It goes 700 rpm. So that’s not a problem. But it will be better to have an electric one. Sales man says I can even add a vacuum to the Makita. It doesn’t have holes in the head just pulls from outside.
Didn’t find a on/off for the DynaBrade oscillation but just noticed you said maybe in the pad so maybe there’s one behind the paper.
The DeWalt has no DA to it, but I’m not getting it. Not many have vacuum attachments so a shop air filter is on my list. I’ve seen second hand ones on Craigslist.

be aware that the Mikita won't ocellate. i looked at my sanders and you may be right. my finish sanders didn't have the ability to stop the oscillations. its usually under the pad you have to remove the pad to get access. my heavy-duty DA has the ability to stop the da action.

I use a 4 1/2" grinder with paint stripping discs, and they work fast, and they're much easier to handle than a 7 or 9" grinder.

A DA uses a lot of air, air tools are highly under rated on air usage and Air compressors are over rated on the air they produce.

I use a Variable speed Buffer and 8 inch Black 3M stripping disks to strip paint and old filler works like a knife through butter.
Just don't use any pressure let Stripping disk do its Magic.
