MS Clear - Devilbiss Prolite 1.3 TE20 or Prolite 1.4 TE10, Tekna Copper 1.3 7E7
MS Clear, smaller/narrower jobs - Iwata AZ3HTE2 1.3 HS Clear - Devilbiss Prolite 1.4 TE20, FLG5 1.4 2K and enamel - Star S4000V2 Pro 1.4 Base - Iwata AZ3HTE2 1.3, Tekna Copper 1.3 7E7 Base/Clear, smaller jobs - ANI R150 1.0, Star SMV1000F 1.3 Tiny jobs - Star S2 0.8 Airbrush - Paasche Millenium Primer - Star S2000 1.8 Polyester filler - Workquip 1023G 2.5 Blending thinner - Devilbiss SLG Mini HVLP 1.0 General purpose - Star 710 1.3, 710 1.5 gravity and 770 1.5 Suction Clear coat guns are dedicated. Although the Tekna is a great gun, the Prolites are much easier to use. All suffer from buildup in the cup to gun joint and need careful cleaning. The little Star SMV1000F is also a much under-rated gun, capable of full panels and very light and comfortable. Side mount gravity feed makes it excellent for doing things like wings, frames etc. where you have to paint at all angles. Better in many respects than the R150 which I bought to replace/supplement it. The Iwatas are super dependable for consistent finish and very easy to clean - way better than the Devilbiss. The SLG Mini is pretty much useless for painting, but atomises blending thinner beautifully. The Workquip gun was a cheapie that's actually turned out to be much better than expected. All the Stars are just super reliable, solid quality. Chris
