Hello everyone,
I was curious if anyone has ever used this gun or heard about it/ seen it in action other than the reviews from learnautobdy, seems like the gun might be getting peddled by the channel for sales, so far all the reviews look great but that doesn't mean much on the internet these days.
The gun claims to be a MP LVLP, I am familiar with the LVLP part I don't know what the MP stands for.
The biggest claim is that it sprays like the Sata guns for a fraction of the cost.
There are some iffy bits to the gun like the cap being all plastic but I don't know if that is a deal break and maybe some of you can chime in on it. The seal-less feature is nice and the gun looks well constructed, the site has all the rebuild parts for it even includes a few parts with the gun, has different tips, they currently list a 2.0mm tip I am trying to see if they sell the 1.3 and 1.4 tips separately instead of just with the gun so I wouldn't have to buy two guns just to own both tips.
It is tempting for $259 right now, if it really sprays like a IWATA or SATA then it is a bargain but this wouldn't be the first time I heard these claims
The same Youtuber used to push Warrick guns but has now switched to praising these if that means anything, I am not familiar with the Warrick guns either.
Also I am in no way shape or form trying to contest the youtuber's abilities or comments on this gun, I am solely looking for 3rd party opinions before I dump $260 on a gun, their site says you can try it risk free but goes into no specifics about the statement. The fact that i haven't been able to find anything on the gun other than this website or the youtube channel just makes me wary of diving into it without some research first and I know I can probably find a used SATA for this price on Craigslist but I am looking for specific reviews or opinions on this specific gun.
Thanks

For $250 you can buy a used Iwata LPH400 on ebay - a great gun (I have two) with an established reputation from a first class manufacturer. Or you can spend the same money on a no name Chinese made gun with no reputation from the cheapest manufacturer this "company" could find. You might get lucky, then again.....................

I know used guns could be bought on ebay, I was hoping someone on here would have first hand experiences with this gun specifically.
Also buying a used gun of ebay puts you at risk for getting a gun that was poorly maintained and now sprays poorly because of these reasons. |
Just another clone gun with those great anonymous reviews.....I'd have to see a lot more in print/video from other sources before dumping that kind of money on a clone. Lately I've seen return policies on guns, pump, etc., say they are returnable if "no materials" are run through them.....uh, yeah, that makes sense.......

You can get anew Iwata w-400 on ebay from japan for something like $180 shipped, then get a cup at harbor freight.

Look up the Gunman on youtube for gun reviews. You can get a devilbiss gpi with 1.4 and 1.8's for about $270 from spraygunsdirect in England.

I want to give this model (Atom X20 LVLP) and honest review based on my experience.
I purchased this gun in the Spring of 2018 where I used it once on a '94 F-150, all was good. A year later I shot a second vehicle and towards the end of the project, the inner seal/s started leaking. I was able to finish out the project, thankfully I only had vertical panels left to paint, otherwise, I would have gotten paint drops all over the place. I took very good care of the gun; cleaned it out thoroughly after each use, never dropped it and stored it in a climate-controlled environment. Keep in mind these guns are made in the PRC (Peoples Republic of CHINA) and have no warranty. I found no customer support contact info on atomsprayguns.com or zoolaa.com. I wanted to see if a replacement seal kit was available. After contacting LABAP.com about this they informed me repair kits are not available and offered me 10% off my next purchase. Bottom line is this. After barely shooting two cars the gun is useless. There is no warranty, no way to contact Atom, and no replacement parts are available. Also, as mentioned by another reviewer, the finish on this model has completely deteriorated after only cleaning with lacquer thinner. If you want a spray gun that lasts, I recommend you spend a little extra money and purchase the SATA, IWATA, Devilbiss, or even an old Binks Model 7. This is based on my own experience, other's may have better luck than I. |

Thanks for giving an honest review. I too had looked at these guns but backed off due to not seeing enough info from different users to trust the sellers info. |

Don't buy any gun you cant buy parts for quickly and conveniently.
Only guns I would seriously look at are SATA IWATA Devilbiss (upper end guns) And in that order All have fantastic support with parts readily and easily obtainable, Plus many many others use the same guns so trouble shooting a spray problem is much easier when so many other people are using the same gun! I also wouldn't shy away from any of these in a used gun as parts are available for most models. what can go wrong? Fluid tip, air cap, needle and Packing's! unless it gets ran over by a Truck??? but even then I bet its still repairable enough to spray! there just that good and so is the support! Dennis B.

i have 2 atom guns, and while i may not even be close to being a painter, have the right equipment, or even the right paint for that matter, i still managed to paint my car in panels and am mostly satisfied with the outcome. neither paint gun has given me any problems and i have repainted panels multiple times. that being said i dont have a big ac and i dont spray tamco and am very satisfied with my atom purchase which did not break the bank.
