Based on all the good intel and pictures on this site I'm going to build an after cooler radiator for my IR compressor out of 40 feet of 3/4" copper pipe going to a dedicated Sharpe filter dryer and then to a QC3 filter before exiting to new 3/8 paint hose. I'm committing to this after experiencing crystals from water vapor in my base coat.

I would like to tee off a separate line for air tools and am trying to decide if its better to make that tee before or after the tee to the dedicated paint filters? This tee to the tool outlet will have it's own water trap/filter.

Many thanks for any advice.

Before your QC3 and after a regulator/water seperator.

Save the QC3 for your spray guns. I use different fittings for my spray guns then the rest of my air tools.
