I just finished soldering together 40 feet of 3/4" copper pipe for an air cooler/water condenser running between my IR compressor and QC3 air filter out to dedicated paint hose.
Before connecting the ends should I flush it with something to clean out the flux and bits of solder so it's clean as possible? What is the best way to flush it and what solutions should be used that won't corrode the copper?
Many thanks for your advise.

Flux is water soluble, so if you could run hot water through it for a couple of minutes. You really don't use that much flux on those joints, and it should burn off when your solder. But hot water would take care of any residue.
I did the same setup as yours and I never bothered to flush it. |
