Are you serious?????? $300?????
What are your real plans here ? Wait on a compressor all day?
What do you want to do? Wait on compressor to charge all day long?
Burn cheap Air compressors up running it constantly?
If your serious about doing body work and painting as a SERIOUS hobby STOP kidding your self! start looking at a REAL air compressor!
Your air compressor is the most important tool in your shop! You cant cheat this!
Even a 5 hp 60 gal 11-17 cfm compressor while some will say its the bare minimum to use and it will work for a while it really is too small for this type of work you will burn up pumps doing the work.
I get the fact everyone thinks or wishes they can sqeek by and they think they can just wait for the compressor to just charge back up but the fact is the pump should be able to do all the work if its not its TOO SMALL!
The tank is just be a shock absorber for the pressure fluctuations you want your pressure regulator to maintain at a steady pressure without fluctuations and if the pressure in the tank is constantly fluctuating wildly you cant maintain steady pressure at the regulator through any device hooked to it especially a Paint gun which is critical in this game.
If your serious about doing this stuff Get serious and start looking at something like these.
