My compressor isn't up to running an air DA.
Does anyone use a corded 6" DA?

I use a Porter Cable electric random orbit a lot.
The right angle ones are more aggressive than the palm ones. It's great for finish sanding, not so much for stripping. For stripping, my electric buffer is the fastest. It's also great for sanding clear coat if you slow it down. https://www.amazon.com/PORTER-CABLE-734 ... B002EQ96NK JC.

The comments say "The pad is for use with PSA sanding media -- if you want to use the Velcro back media you'll need to order the dustless option or the 6 hole pad" Do you know if different pads are readily available? |

Yes they are.
I use the same ones that fit my air sander. It's the standard screw on type. And even though I bought the different counterweights from Porter Cable for the 5" and 6" pad, It seems to work fine without changing the counterweights every time I change pad size. JC.

I have a electric Ryobi with a hook and loop setup. I have a ton of psa backed sanding disks so I layered tape over the surface and the disks stick well. I use it for finishing up what I prep with coarser disk on my right angle, drill.
