Hi Guys,
A local guy has a USED Champion HR5-6 R Series 240V single phase two stage 60 gallon comressor for sell. He says it works and his price seems cheap enough ($300). It is probably from the late 1980's to early 90's (guessing by the look of it). I plan to go this evening and maybe buy it. New units with this same model number claim 17.5 CFM and retail for about $2500. Is anyone familiar with this model and know if pump rebuild kits are available for it? And who sells them? Thought it might be worth while to buy and rebuild as long as it runs when I check it out. Thanks for any infomormation that may help.

Couple of guys at a car show were talking about one of these models. I seemed to remember hearing the name Pacific for parts. Here is what I found....
https://www.pacificaircompressors.com/s ... ts/page/3/ I'd just call them directly and see what is available for that model. The last time I was going to rebuild my 7.5 hp 80 gallon it was cheaper just to buy a drop-in new pump package.... Thanks Darrel,
I looked closer at it and this unit is older than I thought, 1971. I emailed to see if parts and manuals are still available as well on performance specs when new. |

Charge him a $100 to take it off his hands.

If that thing is that old the $300 price is too much if you ask me. I just sold my 7.5 h.p, 80 gallon for $500 and it just got that newer pump upgrade 10 years ago. Original build on that unit was 1992.

Could be a lot of Rust in the Tank if its a 1971
May have been stored for decades though, Hard to believe a unit built in 1971 would still be around. Put this pump on it youll have a good compressor. https://eatoncompressor.com/product/10h ... ifications Dennis B.

Yep, that is the same one that is on my new Eaton compressor. You should hear how quiet that thing is.....
