Folks,

I have 7 spray guns in total.

3 of those spray guns are low pressure guns 19psi, i typically use them in the past for spraying clear that requires curing via a ultra violet light.

Today i used one of the touch up guns to paint a panel with some 2k clear and noticed that the layer it applied was a very droplet appearance, I have never really noticed this before when spraying the uv clear, is this how they spray being low pressure or I needed to thin my mix down further.

Don't let the inlet pressure confuse you. I have guns that are
from 18 PSI to 35 PSI suggested inlet pressure,
they are all 10 PSI at the cap.
Different guns regulate the pressure down differently.
10 PSI at the cap is the federal mandate that most are.

Thanks, should they lay a coat similiar to a normal hvlp gun.

When i was spraying the 2k, the finish appeared as if not enough pressure, the paint on the surface looked like a textured finish.

As mentioned my mix may have been too thick, but I have never really needed to thin 2k clear before using a hvlp

Well, every gun has it's own character.
I personally could never get the finish I wanted
without thinning a little.
But there are those that do.
We all spray differently.
