Iwata spray gun

I have a Awara Iwata lph400lvx spray gun and am wondering if I can change from the original orange tip to the silver one with out any other changes.

Awara? Is that the Chinese knock-off of Anest?
Try it. Swap the caps and do a test. My guess is that the gold one will work a bit better. As I understand it, the gold cap is specifically for basecoat while the silver one is more of an all-rounder. Chris
