paint gun problem

so i took my finishline paint gun apart cleaned it then it started to to leak. so i take it all apart and tighten the small nut in front of the handle. then my fluid needle wouldn't go thru so i loosen it still wouldn't go thru i took it out it seems like the needle wont go thru a spring or something any idea why the needle wont go thru now

The small nut probably has a "packing" which could be fairly mashed up now. You might have to replace that for the needle to properly seat again.

Use mineral oil on your fluid needle when you put it back together.
