I have an 89 Chevy Square Body Crew Cab that I will soon be installing a 4-Link rear suspension. I will be removing the bed for the rear suspension install. I will also be doing quite a bit of front suspension work and am not sure if I will be yanking the front clip off or not.

Anyways, I would like to use some of the film that I have seen used to protect portions of the existing paint from the inevitable bumps/scrapes etc etc. The paint is a couple of years old.

Is this product (from Amazon) the correct material to use? The truck will be inside but the wrap could be on for a couple of weeks or so at a time. This one says “45 days” but I certainly don’t want to push the life cycle of the product and do more damage than protection.

I’ve seen products made specifically for both automotive interiors and exterior protection, but can’t locate or remember the products.

The Good news is it works BUT don't do what I did and leave it on for a long time or get it out in the sun too bake on.  :realmad:
I had to buy a Bunch of adhesive remover to get the dang glue off! Neither hurt the fresh paint but I was sure worried about it. :whoops:

I left it on for a seriously long time like a few months Plus I let it get baked on out in the Death Valley Sun and heat when I was working on other stuff, it was really on their on the rear fenders. If you don't do that you should be OK with it.

Its pretty tough, Peals off easily IF it doesn't get baked on.

I purchased a Bigger roll than this from a Local Sign maker.
