Hi Guys,
Looking for ideas for insulating our 8x10 tin shed booth. Styrofoam board, spray foam, or fiberglass batting covered with plastic sheeting? I think spray foam would be the best but also the most expensive. Thoughts? Ideally , I would like to be able to maintain heat in it in the winter with a couple of space heaters once I get it up to 75 or so with a torpedo heater. Am I crazy??

8'x10' isn't big enough to turn around in.

LOL!! I hear you.........all I got though. Couple of fenders and a fairing or tank is about it. Tight but it works. |
I would go with batts (R-19) if it will fit and plastic sheeting on walls and ceiling. Covering that with 1/2" drywall would be even better.
The tin will let heat out and cold in much faster than wood. 1968 Coronet R/T

I like that idea, I'd have to frame it though so that would add to the $$. I'll need to add the costs up with the price of wood now. |
To give you an idea. Here in Arizona a single 8' 2x4 is over $10.00 at Home Depot.

Last year we were at under $3 but I have been told about the same as you. Making a foam job more reasonable AND, I can trade off most of the price in paint work. Thinking...... |
