Hey all,

I’ve been considering a disposable cup system. Everything I’ve read on this forum and others have commented that the Dekups system is significantly cheaper than the 3m setup.

If you include the cost of filters (3m seem to be included in the lids- is that so?; and the devilbiss are sold separately from the cups/lids), the dekups seem to come out more expensive per cup than the 3m.

I’ve figured around $2.20 per cup for the 3m and $2.55 per cup for the devilbiss.

Am I missing something here?

Is there anything remarkably better than one system over the other?

Thanks in advance,
Andrew

I've tried them, most are to expensive and cumbersome for me.

I use the DeVilbiss bag system, it works better and all I have to replace
is a quart size ZipLock brand freezer bag. Everything else, like the grommets,
I reuse. Shop around for a good price.

JC,
I just ordered the 24 oz DeKups starter kit that has the disposable liners that look like plastic cups. Would the adapter you are using with plastic bags be the same?
I like the zip lock bag idea as an alternative to having to buy the plastic cups.

It looks like TCP global and Harbor freight now have pps gen 1 knockoff systems for less than half the price of the pps 2 and dekups system. May give the TCP global set a try and report back

Will those work on an Iwata or DeVilbiss Tekna? Or are they only for pampered professionals with high dollar Satas?

The kit comes with several adaptors to use in different cups.
Once mounted in the cup, it stays in the cup and never removed.
It's pressed in to be water tight.
You can still use the cup as usual without the bag if you need.
The bag grommet that holds the bag in, can be reused.
It's a great cheap system. Zip-Lock freezer bags (1 qt size) work
even better than the originals.
