Oh, no, that list is far too short..... I'll just add one.... Hyundai.... The largest of that brand stealership contacts me about a national recall on my Santa Fe, I respond and well, no we can't fix it until we get parts. The part in question a.... wait for it..... fuse in the ABS module. Two months go buy it finally comes in, sir, we'll need your vehicle for half a day..... seriously????, So, I should have known right up front this wasn't going to go well because there is a sign on the door TO the service area that says.... There is a National Larbor Shortage, Please be patient with us...... So they kept it for a full day.... they never did call me, I had to chase down the service manager.....uhhhh, we were calling the wrong number.....seriously???you had it when you informed me of the recall....duhhhh.... and here comes the final insult..... NO charge sir and he throws me the key.... get in my SUV and it is dead as a doornail.....ran back in and told them it was dead. Oh, that happens more often than you think, your battery is bad, see it's showing 5 volts, YEAH, because you idiots drained the circuts to work on it and DID NOT take the battery cables off, draining the battery as well. YOU will jump me now, vehicle starts right up, drove it directly home, turned it off and was reading 14 volts on my voltmeter just sitting there OFF.
Geez, and people wonder why I do all the service on my cars..... Honestly, I think I could add at least 20 more businesses to that list.

****! So this means I can't use it as an excuse any more?

It's everywhere fellas. Been waiting over 8 months to get just a 20l drum of thinners. They've managed to get me 5l in that time.

And parts? :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Yep, looks like the worldwide pandemic turned into a worldwide service and parts epidemic. I actually had to "talk" my big chemical stripper supply company into blending me a "small" order of 3600 pounds of our main stripper...... and I'm now halfway through the 8 week wait. Two years ago I would have had it in 2 days.....

Sad but true. Add to this the prices climbing to ridiculous and beyond.

Suppliers blaming their suppliers, blaming their suppliers, and finally it's all Covid's fault.

Summit racing 1.6 years to get a set of ARP head stud kit for a 5.7 Hemi
Bolt kits for same are still on back order!

No Im not just talking about Back orders or out of stock, I am talking about being put on hold for a half hour and longer to speak with some one at at time then being hung up on.

Listing merchandise for sale on their web sights they know is out of stock and on Back order its flat out criminal!!!!

:knockout: I invoked the naughty word substitution program. Sorry Chris.

Now that's a subset of skills that is worth a thread of its own. But first you have to navigate through the 327 menus asking you to "Press 1 if you want to...." and then get to the final one which has the thing you want - except that that option has been programmed to disconnect your call. :splat:

at&t. no disrespect to whoever is on the other end but i cant get chit solved speaking to someone i can barely understand- and has a heard of goats and chickens in the background makin a rukus.

ill add stealerships to the list, too. need i explain? LOL
this whole chip shortage thing has a lot of people a wee bit upset. a few months ago a friend had,"we'll sell you this truck but it still needs a couple of chips, so youll have to buy it but cant take it until we get the chips."
pay on a truck he cant take home until who knows when.
he is rebuilding/ refreshing his 96 F250 now. gonna cost less than buying a new truck, too.
and as per him:" wont have all the stoopid bells and whistles i dont need, too."

Wallmart AGAIN !

Bought a set of BFGoodrich all terrains for my Jeep 33 1250 15s tkos with Road hazard.

Long story short 2nd trip out with jeep got a hole in side wall (Dam Cactus!) they say Tire shot and they wont patch it! OK I got Road hazard give me new tire..... UH You have to order AND pay for a new tire when it gets here and we install it will refund your purchase!

Mean while my truck is down two weeks!
Yes I had bought a spare but not the point, WHY do I have to order why cant they ? Why do I have to go out of pocket on their warranty???

BAD customer service!
