I have never painted a car before so please keep this in mind. My HF paint gun is leaking air continuously through the air adjustment valve. Is this suppose to happen? Also, I am barely getting any air through the nozzle. I am using a 30 gallon air compressor, do I need a bigger one?

when harbor freight guns are mentioned, i look for that, "my suprise face" emoji.
no- not supposed to leak air anywhere.
a 30 gallon you should be getting enough air- but only for a short time. VERY short time.
whats yer regulator setup?

regardless of what the gun is doing, youre going to want a larger compressor.

HF stands for Horrible Freight in my opinion. I've only bought two pieces of equipment from them and ended up throwing them in the trash. It wasn't worth the shipping cost to return them.

I like HF freight guns For spraying reduced Glue on upholstery stuff.
When it gets too clogged up just throw it away.

But in the end as was said Most of HF stuff is Junk at best, I was in one of their stores recently to pick up a few throw away Die grinders.
I was surprised at the amount of new Product named tools carried, The Product name was not a Known brand to me but Prices were not the typical HF prices either that said Price does not guaranty quality either!

So I don't know if these new HF Name brand is any good or not I am not interested in testing them myself as I know Most all HF stuff will perform for a short while before failing when its pushed to perform that's when most realize they need for a Pro level tool for the job and Not a Toy.
