Cutting dura block down its too big

I have the 16" x 2 3/4" Wondering if could cut it down to 12" this would work better and as a bonus id get a small 4". This has the velcro on it.Whats the best way to cut it?

Buy a smaller one and keep this one for large flat surfaces if you can't use it in some areas. The smaller the block, the greater the likelihood of not getting the surface flat. Use it as much as possible and then the smaller one in more difficult areas.

My concern is the velcro getting torn off,I may just try a new blade in my Olfa knife.Or a hack saw.Thanks.

I also use a table saw or razor knife work well too.
I then use the sanding belt to make the same curve on the cut end
