Hello to all.

I'm ready to move up to a new gun and am considering a HVLP unit, especially since that is all that I hear about these days. But I am still confused. Here are my needs: Automotive painting and refinishing (natch), and yet basic oil-based and alkyd paints for architectural pieces and cabinetry. Plus the occasional shellac. BUT, can I also get a "set-up" that will spray latex?? Lastly, I am confused about all this turbine-business...can I use my own compressor or not?

I may not be much help but I can maybe answer about the "turbine" option; No there isn't a compressor invovled at all it has it's own "type of compressor"built in with it If I ain't mistaken Its something like those "old wagner" airless piant guns that were out many moons ago!

I remember trying out one painting a house and my hand was ready to fall off from the vibration it gave when in use
