i am in the process of setting up a body shop in England and would like to know what i need to do to become insurance approved. IE permitted to recieve and carry out work on behalf of car insurance companies. if anyone could help me out i would be greatful

that's hard to say. as most of us are here in the states, and there may be different requirements between us.
like for us, you don't need to be approve. as it is illegal for insurance compines here to tell a customer where to take their cars to be fixed.
however there is ways around that. like if you want their work, you have to agree to the terms to be on what programs they have. like the med. feild. you agree to less but you get paid. in turn the comp. can recomend a shop because of the program.
