Hi Rick.

Nice Red Drum you are holding.
I caught & released my first Fresh Water Drum in the St. Lawrence river. It was about 3 to 3 1/2'. While drifting for channel cats I snagged the bottom. It fought like a submarine. Then pooped. Kept me busy on 8 pound test for about 5 minutes. :)

Why not just polish the gelcoat , have you ever done any humidity measurements for osmosis? Maybe you need some epoxy work done BEFORE you apply anything on top of it but I'm just guessing here, if the boat is in fresh water you don't need to do that.

Good one Rick. I'd say a body of water is about as humid as you can get. Never saw it "osmose" through the hull.

i loved science, but really? maybe hook up a brita filter to your intake on the boat for cooling? That would work.
