Got a 2010 Town & Country in for a sideswipe. Progressive insured. Their latest trick looks to be an attempt at a flat $35 handling fee in addition to the cost of the used part, no percentage markup on a $300 plus door.

Seems that every insurance job they try to think of new ways to screw us.

Of course they left a ton of other procedures off, so I'll just have to keep having them come out until they get to where the price needs to be.

Anybody else seen this before?

It must be the adjuster making changes to the estimate as just had a Progressive adjuster in on a small job to day and wrote a more then fair estimate with mark up on a used part and other items. I am not a fan of ins. co's

State Farm tried this with me on sublet items. The local adjuster flat refused to pay a markup on sublet items. I sent in a supplement and the desk reviewer paid my markup. I saved that estimate so the next time my adjuster says State Farm doesn't pay that, I can show it to him.
