Hail!
I managed to get 5 cars inside before it hit. But 4 customer cars and 2 of mine were still outside.

My rough estimate is about $7K damage to mine, average $5K to the others.
The lesson is: Don't scrimp on insurance. Fortunately it's all covered.
Thousands of cars hit, some really bad. Upside is that every shop in Canberra will be busy for months doing hail repairs, meaning they won't want to do the stuff that I normally do.
More information here, including some good videos.

Ouch!
I got caught in a hail storm once when passing through Colorado. The ice chunks were 1/2" in diameter and I thought my windshield was going to shatter. Fortunately I was right next to a gas station and was able to get under cover before the worst of it hit. Seems I remember reading somewhere that they have a method of removing those dents using electrical current or something? 1968 Coronet R/T
