Very small project of painting a plastic license plate frame. My question is can I use adhesion promoter on the frame with no sanding, primer, then paint or do I need to scuff the frame first then adhesion promoter? Thanks in advance!

Always scuff first. Grey Scotchbrite will be enough. Then AP and topcoats.

It won't take much time to clean and scuff. I love the scuffing paste.

Depends on the AP, there are two types, one that requires sanding and one that dont.

what AP are you asking about specifically ?

Another thing to note: taillights, blacked out headlights etc etc, youll need the AP that does not require sanding.

Plastic going something opaque, well yes sand it because why wouldn't you ?
