Hi...how do you guys dispose of paint thinners/waste paint in the UK..do local tips take this in containers etc

Cat litter works real good for paint and thinners.
I have wood shavings from my wood shop that works good. I don't usually have any thinners to get rid of, any used for cleaning my gun goes back in a quart cup and sits for a couple weeks till it settles out and then I pour it back into my "cleaning" cup to reuse. The little bit of waste left over in the bottom gets soaked up with a paper towel. My left over paint goes into a cup left open till it dries or cures. Then into the garbage. Sometimes I add a little activator to get it to set up better. JC.

The Scottish in me won't let me throw any old paint leftovers out. So I've got a lot of tins with a bit left in - you know, it could be handy one day
Left over thinners always get used for cleaning spray guns. They also get used for resurrecting old paint brushes. It's great for dissolving old house paint off brushes. |
