So yesterday I was spraying out a panel and threw down some base and then intercoat clear. Over the intercoat i stamped some basecoat silver for some texture. I had every intention to grow into clear but had a little kiddo emergency and couldn't clear it.
I have heard the general advice if you've gone outside of the clearcoat window is to respray a coat of basecoat or to scuff the surface. Obviously i can't respray the basecoat cause the purple would cover my silver stamping.
If I sprayed this afternoon without scuffing how screwed would I be? I'm afraid if i scuffed I would hurt the silver. Should I spray a coat of intercoat this afternoon and then clear over that?
I know i screwed up just not sure what i can do.
Clearing outside of basecoat window?

I believe you will be fine. Guys doing graphics and customs often wait much longer than overnight to cover base.
