This is universal primer with hardener mixed 1:1.

This pattern on the cup is what I'm seeing on the paint after laying down the coats.

Anyone see this with old hardener?

Sanded panel with 80 to metsl. Used wax and grease then fill isopropyl wipedown. Wait 10 mins and shoot
I thought about solvent pop from remover but the container itself is showing same sign so it's a reaction between product.

Epoxy doesn't have a Hardener? its an A & B product They must be mixed thoroughly! your cup looks like you just poured each product in the cup stirred once and poured it into gun ??
It could be bad product but I doubt it.
You didn't have Wax and grease remover in that cup did you?

You say you used Wax and Grease then Isopropyl ???? then waited 10 Minutes????
Any time you use wax and grease remover you must wait for all solvent to flash off completely! this can take up to an hour in some cases, especially when wiping down Primer You have to wait. Even if its bare metal you need to wait for it to flash off.

While a paint job can be done in such a short time frame your inexperience is going to bite you, Your setting your self up for a big mess by not taking your time. To many things can and do go wrong when your first starting out and learning. I would rethink this if I were you.

Just like you cant afford Sand Paper You should have waited and Gotten all the stuff your gonna need first Trying to do job nasty fasty with Cheap paper is just gonna cost you more.
You need a Lot of Sand paper it dulls and clogs quickly and easily even good stuff.

You've shown us you car as it sits and ya when most people first look at it most people will say what a pos me personally I look at it and see a Lot of potential and think it looks cool just like it is. Then you've shown us Pictures of the same make and model repainted and done up real nice. clearly that's how you want it to look correct?

I would Stop & slow down rethink this project and concentrate on what its gonna take to get your car where you want it to be the first time so it lasts for many years to come.
Painting a car for the first time is a major undertaking its harder to do than you think rebuilding an engine or a Transmission is easier.
Getting it to look right when done is a lot harder and a heck of a lot more work than it looks and sounds in that the products used have very specific ways they mast be used and handled, applied and finished.

The Most important thing to painting a car besides enough good clean air is SANDING using good Hi-quality Sand Paper and having enough of it on hand in many different grits is very important in a Paint job every step will be sanded EXCEPT your Base coat.
Skimping on Sand paper is a bad idea. I am not saying you cant buy an affordable brand such as Indasa all though I think its junk but it works just be ready to change it a lot. I like 3M stuff myself ya it costs more but you get what you pay for.

If you don't care about the car run it over to Maaco get a $300-$400 special you'll save your self a lot of heartache, money and work.

Any one can Spray Paint, any one can learn how to do it decent, anyone can make a mess too! Every step is Prep for the next step. Mess up the Prep or skimp on the Prep on any one step makes the next step look bad.

Thank you for your feedback. I will agree and say that i am rushing things a bit. I have been purchasing additional products to help with the job, such as plenty of 80 grit sandpaper, 320 roll of paper, 600 wet and dry paper, and 180 roll paper. I have the most important grits.

The wax and grease remover was never in the cup, the clear stuff is hardener (that overnight didn't get hard just sticky). It was on the side like that because that is the location i poured it into the cup and because i am doing a small mix for test panel sprays, it just doesn't touch paint when i mix it.

My tamco distributor will be mixing me a batch using his products and see if he receives the same shapes in the cup, then i will take my epoxy primer over and use his hardener to test it out. This will help determine if it's my hardener that is bad as i read the epoxy lasts a few years, but hardener is recommended to only last 1 year.

I have a panel that i sprayed with grease remover and ispropyl and let flash for 30 minutes minimum, it looked better. i have another section of panel that i let flash overnight and i am about to spray, will report back.

You said in one of the above post that you sprayed wax and grease remover on a panel did you wipe it off with clean rags? the epoxy in your pictures looks real grainy and almost looks like its trying to fish eye. there are lots of things that cause this low air press, to high viscosity for your tip size, spray gun setup or the gun back to far. just to name a few. i would off the alcohol, no need for it if you do your w/g correct and it may cause other problems. in this stage of your job is very important to get it right!

I sprayed w&g remover, used clean paper towels to wipe everything until paper towels are clean. Every couple wipes i would use new paper towel.

Then once i had most of the w&g dried up i poured 70% iso and used clean paper towles to wipe everything up.

My friend recommended using a smaller tip. I am using 1.8 at the moment and he suggested to try my 1.3, which i will do.

Went over to my friends house and we investigated the problem. Glad to say that we FOUND the issue.

Result: my hardener from 2 years ago has gone bad and was attempting to separate from paint itself. I made two videos showing the difference between new and old hardener using the same epoxy and same gun.
