I'm finally (much late than expected) about to do this repair this weekend. I got my car back in October and just took it to an MCA National Show last month where it earned a gold award. I lost two points on paint chips and this area so I've fixed everything else and it's time to tackle this.

Finally got it painted yesterday. The interclear, basecoat, and clearcoat went on well. I started cutting it today with 1500, 2000, 2500, 3000, and 5000 grit. Might be overkill, but I already had the papers. My main worry is getting the mirror finish that I have on the rest of the car. This is a photo showing my progress. I have cut the paint on the top half from the rear to about halfway along the roof vent.
