1 question,, would it be ok to clean it with rubbing alcohol or do I need to use the grease & wax remover?

I will post up pictures when finished.

use wax and grease remover. 91% rubbing alcohol is by volume. that leaves 9% of crap that could cause a problem.

:goodpost: for sure ^^^ then you'll know you shouldn't have a problems. BE SURE to let it evaporate sufficiently, at least 1/2 hour. it can build up under rubber or body seams and take quite some time to evaporate only to come out when you go over it with the spray gun.

Thanks for the advice.
And if I understand correctly, as soon as I wipe it on and clean the surface, I need to wipe it back off before it dries?

Good point about static electricity.
I also like to ground the chassis by draping a section of chain somewhere around
the frame and letting it lay on the floor.

Guys
I have another question. Last night I did a final water sand with 800 grit with plans to shoot the car tomorrow. I have 2 small spots, 1 (3/8") round and 1 (1/2") lond that shows bare metal.

Do I need to prime them again, and then block it back out?

Can I spray a touch of Urethane primer from a can on the spots?

Can I shoot over the spots with base?

Thanks for any input.
