After four years of work, I finally drove the 1955 Ford Fairlane out on the road. Timing was short and to be transparent, the car is not 100% all back together...still have not installed some interior pieces, the side mirrors, need to tune the carb a little, etc. But I promised my daughter that I would drive her to HS graduation and we did just that with no issues. (thankfully!) This weekend has been very busy but the car is doing better than expected.

The reason for this post being placed here and not in the member projects category is because I have spent most of my time here in Body and Paint asking quite a few questions and receiving a lot of helpful advice from so many of you. Let me say a BIG THANK YOU to you guys and how tremendous things have turned out. :worthy:

I am going to try to post a couple photos here.

I have been also happy to see my 15 year old son, Ethan, get involved at different times by helping me. You can see much of the work over on a site called http://www.hotrodreverend.com. There quite a few videos and photos in the Blog pages.

You guys are the greatest!

What's cool are the memories the kids will take away from the project.
They'll last a lifetime.

Fellas, thank you for all of those comments. And I will have to say with the family involved it is a load of fun. Check out this video of the first day we had it out. I was pressed for time, so my son's smudges are still on the dash, half the speedo and gauges are not hooked up yet, etc, but all safety items were working properly (brakes, lights, horn, etc).

The family really enjoyed it!
