Hi,
I need help in identifying the issue with what went wrong with this touch up.
I had about 5 cm vertical deep scratch which I bogged, primed and sprayed with metallic base coat (black metallic), then followed up with the clear coat.
After the light sanding (2000 grit), polishing and buffing however, I got this weird overlapping line mark.
Any idea how to correct this?

You didn't melt the edge of the clear in to the old paint. Most paint companies make a special thinner that melts the new and old paint together, making clearcoat joins less visible.
That said, you really should never finish clear halfway across any large panel, especially a horizontal one. Bad enough doing it on pillars and bars but even I wouldn't try as big an edge as you have. Clean it all up, sand all over, especially feathering the edge, and reclear the whole panel. Chris
