this is from the directions for evercoat lite weight filler:
APPROVED SUBSTRATES: Cold Rolled Steel Aluminum SMC Galvanized Steel Fiberglass Clean and degrease the entire panel to be repaired with soap and water, followed by a mild cleaning solvent. Surface must be thoroughly dry before repairing or applying material. Use 40-80 grit to remove the paint and featheredge. |

ok so it wants down to bare metal before i put filler in. so given that, should i spray over with a epoxy primer? ive read they provide better protection and sealing. then i spray a 2nd ename primer over the epoxy one before paint right?

I think someone does make a filler that can be applied over " properly prepared finish." Best thing is to prep to bare, clean metal.

No need to put anything else on epoxy before paint. Epoxy is the best primer to paint over. JC.
(It's not custom painting-it's custom sanding) |
